Jason Mannino and Christie Van Hees Win Big in Memphis

The 2006 Choice Hotels US Open Racquetball Championships ended on all high notes today as history was made, and a new two time Champion was added to the list of winners. Christie Van Hees and Jason Mannino became the 2006 Choice Hotels US Open racquetball champions.

Wachtel Defeated in Semifinals of US OPEN

Kerri Wachtel (Cincinnati, Ohio) was defeated by Cheryl Gudinas Holmes (Lisle, Illinois) in a five game semifinals match in the Choice Hotels US OPEN Racquetball Championships on Saturday. Wachtel won game two 11-5 and game four 11-2. She was defeated 10-12, 10-12 and 9-11 in three down-to-the wire games. In game one, Holmes battled back from a nine point deficit for the win. In the third, she scored seven unanswered points for another come-back victory. Although she lost the match, Wachtel scored nine total points more than Holmes.
